Bump to baby movement program

Our bump to baby movement program is designed to support your body through the physical changes of pregnancy and recovery, while promoting strength, mobility, and overall well-being in a safe environment. Sessions focus on improving posture, core stability, pelvic floor function, and muscular balance, with exercises adapted to your stage of pregnancy or postnatal recovery.

You may benefit from pre- and postnatal movement training if you are:

Session Lengths

  • 45 minutes
  • 60 minutes

Please note these sessions are available after the first trimester and after sign off from your postnatal check.

What to expect from your first session

  • Initial consultation – your pre & postnatal exercise specialist will discuss your pregnancy journey or postnatal recovery so far, any areas or discomfort or concern and set outcome goals for your sessions.

  • Movement screening – we may assess how your body is currently moving and highlight movement patterns or muscle imbalances that need addressing.

  • Session – your session will be tailored to your individual needs, using safe and effective exercises to improve overall strength and mobility.

  • Aftercare – you will be given a bespoke program to continue outside of the sessions.

Our recommendations

Our bump to baby movement program is designed to support your body as it adapts during pregnancy and recovers after birth. Below are our general recommendations for treatment frequency, which can be tailored to your individual needs…

Prenatal

  • General fitness and wellbeing – 1 -2 sessions per week
  • Managing discomfort – 2-3 session per week

Postnatal

  • Early recovery (6-12 weeks) – 1-2 sessions per week
  • Regaining strength, mobility & fitness – 2-3 sessions per week
  • Targeted rehabilitation – 2-3 sessions per week
